Acoustic guitars, muffled drums and sleigh bells rule the day here as Dwyer's off-kilter melodies and singsong vocal lines slither, sputter, and stumble from one short tune to another, with Brigid Dawson's harmony vocals floating somewhere near the ceiling. (And yes, there IS a flute solo.)
Thee Oh Sees seem to have the preternatural ability to inject 3 to 4 incredibly potent hooks into a 2-minute song like it was nothing.
